Alessia fell in love with bookbinding at a young age, when her father told her stories of his childhood binding books with his Grandpa in the family's loft in Sicily.
She then, studied Arts and conservation of the book in Italy where discovered the bookbinding world and became passionate about this craft that followed her in every city she lived in the last 15 years.
The "handmade" is a precious word for her; creating particular and unique objects from raw materials makes her happy. Studying and refining the techniques used to obtain the best results are the things that make Alessia satisfied with herself, with her work and that make her feel fulfilled.
Ali’s paper goal is to be able, through Alessia’s work and the love for details, to deliver to you high-quality but at the same time practical and useful objects.
Alessia loves to share her knowledge and the art of this craft during workshops and classes, 1:1 or groups, private, hiring spaces, corporates and now also at CityLit in London.
